Like our 1-3/4” stainless steel personnel doors, we fabricate Weiland Swinging Cold Storage Stainless Steel Doors for the needs of food facility operators, primarily in USDA inspected facilities. They are built with a higher standard of durability, hygiene, and corrosion resistance for both cooler and freezer applications. We designed this door to work where commoditized, painted galvanized, walk-in style cold storage doors do not.
The attributes that best define this product are Weiland’s WeldWrap™ and CleanCor™ technologies. Weldwrap™ technology is our way of fabricating stainless steel doors and windows. It involves design processes that allow us to fold and bend the steel in a way that will enable us to weld everything shut and keep moisture from entering the door.
We hang the door panels in a 16 Ga. stainless steel casing style frame. With CleanCor™ technology, we inject 5 lb p.c.f. insulating structural foam into our face casings and back-trim making our frames rigid and void-free. To mitigate harborage areas at would-be seams between the vertical and horizontal sections of the frame, we fully weld them together.
At Weiland, we curate hardware for harsh environments and pre-install hardware and attributes at the factory. Weiland stainless steel doors for cold storage are ready to install upon delivery.

Stainless Skin Options
Standard stainless doors are built with 20 Ga. stainless steel and 16 Ga. frame casings. 16 Ga. door panels are available upon request.
The core of our infit doors is crafted using expanded polyvinyl chloride (including the interior pan) to provide long term strength to the door. This material is more thermally set than the plastics typically used by other manufacturers. Every piece of hardware included in the order has 1.5” of solid backing behind it for maximum screw retention.
Stainless Steel Casings with WeldWrap™ Technology
Industry leading 16 Gauge stainless steel face casings with WeldWrap™ technology come standard with injected 5 lb per cubic foot polyurethane cores. The vertical and horizontal sections of casing are fully welded together for a seamless, maintenance free application. The core of the jamb is fabricated from HDPE plastic lumber. Jamb depths are built to virtually any size, accommodating any wall type or depth.
Void-free with CleanCor™ Technology
Weiland Infitting Swing Cooler Doors all feature CleanCor™ technology which helps to insulate the door, make the door void-free, and provide superior hardware reinforcement.
Doors are placed in a heated press and injected with 2 lb. p.c.f. cubic foot closed cell polyurethane foam. 2 lb foam provides the maximum R-value for thermal performance (roughly R-7.5 per inch).
The 16 Ga. stainless steel frame casing features injected foam as well. In the face casings and back-trim we inject a 5 lb. p.c.f. closed cell structural foam.
Stainless Steel Vision Panels
Standard sizes are 12×18″ and 10×10″, and can special order any custom size. We provide scratch resistant polycarbonate glazing in most applications (which is much more durable and chemical resistant than standard Lexan), and can also provide insulated, tempered, heated and safety coated glass, depending on the environment. Weiland utilizes the highest quality stainless hinges, latches, and hardware from a variety of the best manufacturers in the USA. The hardware we use on our doors we stock in our warehouse in the event you need to order replacement hardware down the road. The standard hardware and fasteners for this door are stainless steel be default. CS (Cold Storage) options of cast aluminum and chrome plated steel are available when value engineering your project.
Self Regulating Heat
120 volt, 10-watt per foot self-regulating heater wire is utilized in the casings and the bottom of doors for freezer applications.
